Journalist 2 Shirt

Halfway through that Journalist 2 Shirt drive-in started raining so hard visibility was rough. And when we got out of the car to use the bathroom at a gas station it was literally pouring sideways. I was soaked from head to toe in 2 seconds. Turns out there was a tornado touch down in the city and we were just driving around the outskirts of the storm and none of these people I was with knew what serious weather in their own hometown looked like. Yeah, I was gonna say. I’m from small-town Indiana, and while we didn’t often get full tornadoes, we got a warning along with almost every major storm. Nothing says “go outside and check out the sky” like a tornado siren. I’m from Central America, I’ve never seen green clouds. Can you explain why this happens I’m really curious!

I am not sure why the color green specifically happens. But the discoloration of the Journalist 2 Shirt clouds and no rain indicates an extremely abrupt change in atmospheric pressure typically leading to one hell of a storm. I don’t know the science for it. But growing up my mom always said that there if the clouds are green and there is no rain/hail then a tornado is coming. I have memories of the sky turning green, no rain, and the sirens going off. My parents would put us in the windowless bathroom and have the news playing on the radio. It was not fun. I’ve only seen a yellow-green sky a couple of times in conjunction with a storm. In both cases, it was eerily calm, and the atmosphere felt unusually tense and heavy. Minutes later, we got absolutely rocked with some of the worst storms I’ve ever experienced.
